That’s why every Tuesday morning, from 10am to 11am, we open our doors for a free, drop-in tax help session designed especially for elderly taxpayers, those unfamiliar with online systems, or anyone confused by the complexity of the UK tax process.

What the session is for

Tax can be confusing — and with more forms, deadlines, and digital systems than ever, it’s easy to feel left behind.

Our Community Tax Help Hour provides friendly, face-to-face support for those who:

    • Need help understanding letters from HMRC

    • Struggle with online tax accounts or digital logins

    • Want to know if they’re paying the right amount of tax

    • Are concerned about tax codes, pensions, or state benefits

There’s no charge, no obligation, and no sales pitch — just honest help from professionals who care.

Why we do it

For nearly 40 years, Holland & Co has supported businesses and individuals across Widnes, Warrington, and the North West.
Many of our older clients and community members have told us how difficult the tax system has become — especially with the shift to digital-only services.

This pro bono initiative is our way of giving something back to the community that has supported us since 1986.
