“Preparing your accounts early gives you a clearer picture of how your business is performing and allows us to identify tax liabilities or refunds sooner, helping you plan ahead with confidence.”
Quote from Nigel Holland BA Hons FCA
Early preparation of the accounts is recommended as it allows you to know how your business is performing and enables you to take any appropriate action that may be advisable much sooner. The timely preparation of accounts also enables us to calculate your tax liabilities in advance so that you can budget accordingly. Alternatively, if tax refunds are due then these can be had much sooner.
Please provide the following if applicable:
-
- Details of any fixed assets bought or sold during the financial year. These are high value capital items that you expect to use for a number of years, such as motor vehicles, computers, equipment or fixtures and fittings for example.
-
- Details of any customers that owe you money as of the year end.
-
- Details of any suppliers you owe money to as of the year end.
-
- An estimate of the value of unsold stock remaining at the year end.
We use a tax return checklist that relates to each tax year. Please complete this as fully as possible and return it to us along with your business records.
