1 Winwick Park Avenue,Winwick WA2 8XB

Saturday 19th December

Every year we hold a fun packed Winter Solstice party on the shortest day of the year.

” The winter solsticehiemal solstice or hibernal solstice, also known as midwinter, occurs when one of the Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt away from the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere (Northern and Southern). For that hemisphere, the winter solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, when the Sun is at its lowest daily maximum elevation in the sky.[1] At the pole, there is continuous darkness or twilight around the winter solstice. Its opposite is the summer solstice. “

We often have guests who arrive on their own and don’t know anyone else at the party. If you could kindly welcome them that would be much appreciated and help them feel less isolated.

We are expecting a large number of guests so it would be helpful if you intend to attend our annual party that you book early.

Guests from:

  • Mexico
  • Scotland
  • Poland
  • Hungary
  • The Philippines
  • The Punjab
  • New Zealand
  • USA

There will be music, dancing, food and drinks available on the night.
