Massive Investment earmarked by EU’s Executive committee of £670bn

28th May 2020

Nigel Holland

“Great Britain has obviously left the European Community now but the European committee is going to pump a massive amount of money into the European Economy.

A recovery fund worth €750bn (£670bn; $825bn) has been proposed by the EU’s executive Commission to help the EU tackle an unprecedented crisis.

The majority of the investment will be in the form of grants but there will also be loans given.

Some of the richer countries have qualms about paying for the poorer countries but it is going to go ahead.”
