TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT
We have a vacancy which would suit someone who would like to train for their professional accountancy exams. We encourage our employees to qualify as either an ACA or an ACCA.
We would prefer to employ someone who has successfully completed a degree in Accountancy and has achieved a 2.1 or first class degree. However we may consider an AAT applicant.
We prefer applicants to live reasonably close to our offices in Widnes so that travelling does not become an issue.
We offer a structured career path and training in all aspects of taxation and financial reporting. We pay for the course held at Kaplan in Manchester or Liverpool.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

SALES/SECRETARIAL POSITION
We also have a vacancy to cover maturnity leave for 12 months approximately 16 November 2012 to 15 November 2013.
The duties include answering the telephone, credit control on sage, correspondence, sending out direct mail followed by a telephone call. It also involves general admin duties. The successful applicant would be in charge of our sales and marketing.
The hours are flexible and we will be prepared to change the hours worked to fit in with the requirements of the successful applicant but our current employee works 9.30 am to 2.30 pm for 4 days a week.

IFA
We currently have a vacancy for an IFA who would be able to offer financial services to our existing client base. The successful candidate would ideally already act for a number of existing customers in their own right and would be looking to expand their practice. This could be achieved by them advising clients who are currently signed up to Holland & Co.
Commission would be split 50/50 and further leads would be available as Holland & Co increase its number of clients.
Holland & Co would hope to act as Accountants for the clients of the successful candidate.
The position will be available on a self employed basis and offers plenty of scope for advancement.

FURTHER VACANCIES
DECEMBER AND JANUARY BACKLOGS
December and January are normally our busiest times of the year. This is due to clients bringing in their records late. The deadline for submission of self assessments is 31 January. Please note this is changing to 31 October from 2008 for paper submissions and this may mean that we have backlogs in September and October and it may mean that we need additional staff for these periods.
We may have some temporary work suitable for someone who would like to assist us during this busy period.
This vacancy would not be suitable for anyone who needs training or who has no experience in accountancy.
